I love this NeuroWild Shift resource from NeuroWild !
Education is not one size fits all, which is why our role as tutors is so important.
We have the wonderful luxury of regular one to one time with our students, which allows us to tailor their sessions to them personally - what works for them, what they enjoy, what motivates them, where any gaps or misunderstandings arise, how they learn best.
Our society’s understanding of additional learning needs and neurodiversity has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, allowing us to recognise our own strengths and potential challenges to learning, both as children and as adults.
Identifying a problem allows us to recognise and unpick it; to accommodate and listen to our needs as learners, regardless of age.
As a tutor I’m in a unique position to recognise and support learners’ different needs not only from my career in both mainstream and specialist SEN schools, but from my own experiences as a neurodivergent child and adult. Our understanding of ADHD and autism presentation in all genders, but especially girls and women, is so much deeper than it was when we ourselves were children, allowing us to recognise, accept, acknowledge, cater for and celebrate our brilliant and beautiful brains, and those of our children.
Would your child benefit from personalised learning with a tutor who will work with them at their pace, on their own targets and in a way that suits them and their learning style? Send us a message to have a chat, come and see what we do and book in for a free no-obligation assessment. Together we can help your child to progress and achieve!
